Like him or not, Kyle Busch is a wheel man
Dale Wilkerson September 2010
His success since joining up with former Washington Redskins Coach Joe Gibbs has been phenomenal. 17 Sprint Cup wins, a Nationwide Championship and more wins than most drivers have in their career, along with starting his own Camping World Truck team and scoring wins in it as well.
Looking at his numbers this year in the Nationwide Series; if he was a Major League Pitcher the Cy Young Award would be his.
Arguably in racing these days, a top ten finish is almost as valuable as a win. Busch has 11 Nationwide wins to go along with 18 top fives and 20 top ten finishes in get this… 23 starts. The series has held 28 races this year and even though ‘Rowdy’ has missed five races, he stands third in points with seven events left on the 2010 schedule.
The folks at NASCAR have announced that they are looking a limiting the number of starts a Sprint Cup regular can make in the Nationwide Series next season, and if that rule is put in place, it should be called the Kyle Busch Rule.
Yes I agree that the Sprint Cup drivers should stay away from the junior tour, but looking at what Busch has accomplished since teaming with Joe Gibbs Racing has to make you say WOW!!
Busch has a chance to win the Owner’s Championship in the Camping World Truck Series. I wonder if the Kyle Busch Rule will be declared with that series as well.
